Who we are

Beacon Counselling are a North West based Counselling Trust, who work comprehensively in the area of mild to moderate mental health. Beacon is the second biggest provider of IAPT in Liverpool. We specialises in trauma, relationship counselling, children and young people, behavioural issues, anger management classes, critical incident and working with veterans. Beacon is also a major deliverer of mental health training in Merseyside; its training portfolio includes Mental Health First Aid (MHFA), MHFA Lite, Critical Incident, ASSIST, CPCAB Level 5 CBT and Suicide Awareness.

What we do

Our core is individual long and short term counselling & psychotherapy.

But we also offer Couples therapy & CBT therapy. The kind of problems that we deal with in counselling is anger & stress, confidence and assertion, sexuality, OCD, anxiety, depression, alcoholism, addiction, & life-decisions. Psychotherapy is at its best with questions about life & love relationships, and feelings of emptiness or lacking purpose.

What will you be offered?

Initially you will be offered an agreed number of counselling sessions with each session taking up to 50 minutes. After this initial period each case will be assessed, occasionally longer term counselling may be required or referral to another specialised professional may be appropriate. Here at Beacon our therapists will provide information and guide you to access the most suitable help for you.
