Pulse Live are a series of events held across different parts of the country to raise awareness of regional services and products within the health and social care sector.
On Tuesday 5th October alongside GambleAware, Beacon Counselling Trust hosted a stand to raise awareness of gambling harms through Beacon’s treatment and education offer and the National Gambling Treatment Service. During the event Neil Platt, Clinical Director of Beacon spoke alongside Rachel Bancroft from the NHS Gambling Treatment Service about a collaborative approach to tackling gambling related harm, which covered topics from the landscape to harmful gambling, the need for screening and identification within the health and social care sector and the levels of support available. The stand attracted a large degree of interest from those in attendance as the team fielded queries on the treatment available, referral procedures and the training offers Beacon provide.
