Recently our Early Intervention and Education Team attended the Lancashire User Forum (LUF) event in Preston. LUF was set up by service users in recovery from drug and alcohol issues and is part of the Red Rose Recovery Community.
LUF gives service users a voice and platform in how recovery should be accessible and how services should be structured. It was great to hear such inspiring stories in the form of words and poems from many of the service users present. During the event, our very own Chris Summers, who has Lived Experience, spoke about his own journey and recovery from gambling related harms, addressing more than 150 attendees.
We were pleased to participate in this forum, and it is amazing to see all the brilliant organisations out there helping and supporting those in recovery.
