Quest Liverpool have been a great partner and support to Paul’s Place and Beacon Counselling Trust over the last year. Quest have offered office space for our team during required building works and have also hosted our Paul’s Place Suicide Bereavement Peer Support Group on several occasions.
On Monday 16/09/2024 a Team from Quest took part in the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge to raise awareness and vital funds for our Paul’s Place Suicide Bereavement Support Programme in memory of Sean Harnick.
The challenge takes on the peaks of Pen-y-Ghent (694 metres), Whernside (736 metres) and Ingleborough (723 metres) and teams climbing these peaks aim to do so in under 12 hours.
Team Quest smashed the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge in a remarkable 10 hours raising an amazing £1,270 (£1,555 including Gift Aid) in the process!
To celebrate this achievement Quest invited Paul’s Place Founders Kathy and Agnes to their lovely venue in the City Centre and, once again, invited our Paul’s Place Peer Support Group to hold their meeting there with an invite to the celebration following the meeting.
It was an emotional event, as the team at Quest put together a presentation showing the great efforts that they had gone to on the day with members of Sean’s Family present at the event and having also taken part in the challenge!
The funds raised by Quest are vital in ensuring that we can continue to provide support to people bereaved by Suicide in Merseyside, the kindness and warmth shown to our team and the Peer Support Group by all at Quest is greatly appreciated and we hope to be able to continue to work with Quest in future.
