Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, many of our planned Paul’s Place fundraising events in 2020 and 2021 were cancelled. Obviously, this has had a massive impact on the donations we would have received. On top of that, we have seen a significant rise in the number of people accessing our service. Sadly, this is likely to always be the case; since we are the only service in the UK to provide this free, unique and life-saving specialist service. We receive no Government or NHS funding whatsoever; and are reliant upon donations, fund-raising events and charitable grants.
In just over 3 weeks’ time, on Sunday 22nd May – Agnes and Joe Williams will be taking part in the Wirral Coastal Walk, to raise funds for Paul’s Place (Beacon Counselling Trust). They will be joined on the walk by service users (past and present), staff members from Beacon Counselling Trust and hopefully some family members and friends, too.
If anybody wishes to join them on the walk, you’re more than welcome to do so. In fact, the more the merrier! You don’t have to be connected to our charity in any way, to join the walk. If for any reason, you’re unable to join us, maybe you would consider making a donation instead? We know that so many people are struggling financially right now, but please remember that no donation is ever considered to be too small.
