This week is Children’s Mental Health Week and we are continuing our work supporting the wellbeing of young people across the North West, by delivering gambling harm prevention workshops directly to those aged 10 to 19.
There are well established links between gambling harms and mental health and as part of the Young People’s Gambling Harm Prevention Programme we have raised awareness of the importance of the issues with over 2500 young people in the last year, with the goal of reducing the harms gambling can cause.
As part of the programme, we have also worked with organisations such as Childline, Princes Trust, Papyrus, Family Intervention teams and local authorities to provide professionals with skills to tackle gambling harms within their youth facing roles.
