Our young people’s gambling harm prevention programme continues to work with both young people and professionals who support young people, across the North West as part of our partnership with Gamcare.
We are excited to announce that our service now also offers our FREE workshops to parents and caregivers!
We believe it is of vital importance that parent’s and caregivers are given the opportunity to discuss the gambling and gaming behaviours of their young people, in an open and non-judgmental space.
Our workshops will explore risk factors associated with gambling and gaming, gambling within society and the impacts on mental health. We focus on ways to keep our children safe and raise awareness on our young people’s support and adult treatment services, that are freely available to those who may need it.
Through education and early intervention our aim is for young people to make informed choices about their gambling and gaming behaviours and provide parents and professionals who surround them, with knowledge and confidence required to support and sign post into our service.
